Principal's Message

In 2011 our great school in the City of Palmerston came of age opening again as a dedicated Senior Secondary College for the education of students in their final years of schooling. Students no longer need to travel outside Palmerston to achieve the education they want to prepare them for higher education, training qualifications, or for the world of work.

Palmerston's Senior College has embraced technology of a standard available in few schools in the world. We have made powerful laptops available to every student to use as their own supported by a powerful wireless network. The information technology in the hands of students is only a part of our approach to education. Teachers are trained in a common pedagogy that places the students learning processes at the centre of planning along with an expectation that students will develop critical thinking skills through a problem solving approach.

We are also an accredited Cisco Academy which allows us to deliver computing courses such as PC technology, networking, and security, and also provides an introduction to advanced concepts. We also provide a hands-on, career oriented e-learning solution with an emphasis on practical experience to our students.
